Leveraging digital tools to support effective introduction and scale-up of HIV prevention products

Despite major advances in HIV treatment and prevention tools, global HIV prevention outcomes remain off track in many high - burden settings. At the same time, many countries are navigating fiscal constraints, competing health priorities, and shifting donor landscapes. Together, these pressures are reshaping how HIV prevention is financed, governed, and delivered, underscoring the need for nationally led and financially sustainable prevention systems.

This webinar examines how countries can strengthen the systems needed to introduce, deliver, and sustain new HIV prevention products at scale. The discussion explores what is required to introduce new prevention products through nationally led pathways within public health systems, rather than through fragmented or pilot - driven approaches that can limit scale and sustainability. It also considers how digital health interventions and artificial intelligence can support reach, efficiency, and service delivery as new products emerge. Across these themes, the session focuses on the essential foundations needed for product scale-up, including government leadership, regulation, workforce capacity, supply chains, data systems, and delivery platforms.
