Sustaining HIV prevention in a period of transition

Major advances in HIV treatment and prevention continue to shape the global response. Yet, progress in prevention remains uneven, particularly in high-burden regions. At the same time, governments are navigating tighter public budgets, competing health priorities and a shifting donor landscape. Together, these dynamics are reshaping how HIV prevention is financed, managed and delivered, underscoring the need for approaches that are nationally led and built to last.

Drawing on recent evidence and country experiences, the webinar highlights practical strategies to strengthen leadership, improve coordination and expand national ownership. It also examines how financing reforms, such as increased domestic investment and alignment with national budgets, can help build more resilient and durable prevention responses.
